Welcome readers! Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
So what to say about myself…
I am a full time chemical engineer and part-time aspiring writer.
Into the Between is my first foray into the world of writing, but I’ve been obsessed with reading my whole life. In my mind there’s nothing better than losing myself in a great book, each one a doorway into a magical new world.
I live in South Africa with my husband and three dogs with an unhealthy obsession with tennis balls.
So now the long(er) version…
I have always lived in South Africa and my childhood was filled with the perfect combination (at least in my mind) of horses and books. I owe my love of reading to my parents, who were always prepared to indulge me when it came to acquiring just one more book… Other kids had forts made out of cardboard boxes; mine was constructed from layer upon layer of books!
I suppose I should mention that somewhere along the line I developed a love for the beauty and logic of science, which is what led me to study chemical engineering at the University of Cape Town. I’m not sure whether the beauty of the university campus swayed me with it’s magical backdrop of Table Mountain or whether I was just seriously committed to chemical engineering, but I only walked away when I had my Doctorate degree grasped within my fingers.
These days, I am a full time chemical engineer and I write in those stolen moments on weekends and late at night. Into the Between is my first novel, which I would categorize as contemporary fantasy.
